Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is in the northern region of India also the most populous state. Lucknow is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. The two major rivers of India Ganges and the Yamuna join at Allahabad and the place is Triveni Sangam. The state is long known for sugarcane production. Uttar Pradesh is the mainstream for political entities which are at ancient and medieval India like Maurya Dynasty, Harsha Empire, Delhi Sultanate, Gupta Empire, Mughal empire, etc. There are many pilgrimage places in Uttar Pradesh like Ayodhya, Agra, Mirzapur, Allahabad, etc.
