TNEB New User Registration Process | TNEB Online Payment

Tamil Nadu electricity department made betterments in their division and in order to give their users more convenience, it has launched online payment that is managed round the clock. With this online payment system, everyone can pay the bills in time with any overdue charges.

Tamil Nadu Electricity board online payment procedure is explained below, go throw the following steps.

Step-1:

  • In registration page, select Existing service connection number and then click enter.

Step-3:

  • Next, you have to select your region from nine regions mentioned in the list.

Step-4:

  • Now enter the 10 digit consumer number. No need to enter the region code.
  • The consumer number will be available on the first page of your EB card.

Step-5:

  • Then next click on check details.
  • It displays all your details like name and address. Click on Confirm, after that it displays a registration form.

Step-6:

  • In the registration form enter all your details correctly without any mistakes and click on submit.

Step-7:

  • You will receive a confirmation email to your registered email id. Click the link in the email to verify the registration.
  • The registration process is successfully completed.

During the registration process, if you are trying to register with a service number with which another customer has registered already. Then you will be notified with a message “Consumer number already registered”.

  • You can report a complaint if someone else has registered using your consumer number.
  • Now enter a new username and your email id.
  • An email will the sent to already registered user to delete his account.
  • If there are no transactions are done with that account, then that account will be automatically deleted within 7 days.
  • After that, a mail will be sent to you make a new registration.

Procedure to add service number in TNEB:

After creating a new account in TNEB for free, you have to add your service number

Step-1:

  • Go to TNEB website, log in to your account.

Step-2:

  • On the right side, click on Add service number and then select your region.
  • For South Chennai, you have to select Chennai-South(09) region, that will redirect you to Add Service No page.

Step-3:

  • In add service Number page, enter your customer number and click on ‘check details’.

Step-4:

  • Next, all your details like customer name, address and service status will be displayed.
  • Check those details, if the details are correct then click on confirm button.
  • You can see the added account in account summary.

TNEB Online Payment Procedure:

Below is the step by step procedure for making TNEB online payment.

  • A page containing your payment details will be opened. Your bill amount and due date are displayed in that page.

Step-3:

  • To make payments, click on Pay Now button. This will guide to payment options page.
  • In payment options page you will have the following options
    • Credit / Debit Card Payment
    • Net Banking Payment
    • Other debit card payment

For Credit / Debit Card Payment follow the first method and for net banking, follow the second method.

  1. TNEB Payment through Credit / Debit Card:

Step-1:

  • Choose any of the listed payment gateways to make payment through credit/debit card.

Step-2:

  • After selecting the payment gateway, terms and conditions and condition page will open.
  • Select the checkbox to agree with with the terms and conditions, then click on Confirm pay.

Step-3:

  • It redirects you to your chosen bank’s Payment gateway. Choose the payment methods such as Visa, Maestro, Master etc.
  • Then enter the details of credit or debit card and complete the transaction.
  • Once your payment is successful, it redirects you back to TNEB website.
  • Your TNEB E-receipt will be displayed, you can print it out.
  1. TNEB Payment through Net Banking :

Step-1:

  • Select your Net banking account from the displayed list to make your payment through Net banking.

Step-2:

  • After selecting the payment gateway, terms and conditions and condition page will open.
  • Select the checkbox to agree with the terms and conditions, then click on Confirm pay.

Step-3:

  • Your online bank account page will be opened
  • Log in to your net banking account to make payment.

Step-4:

  • Once your payment is successful, it redirects you back to TNEB website.
  • Your TNEB E-receipt will be displayed, you can print it out.
