Ejanma was managed by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics of Karnataka state. It was one of the key elements that provided quality in the birth and death statistics of the Karnataka state.

The whole process of recording birth & death certificates and issuing those certificates comes under the civil registration system in India.
A Birth certificate is a very important document issued at the time of birth of a child. The authority issued it as a record of their birth and the existence of that child.
A death certificate is issued to the relatives close to the dead person by the competent authority. It describes the cause of death and related details.

Ejanma birth or death certificate verification:
The following process is required for Ejanma verification:
- Visit Ejanma Karnataka’s official portal.
- Click on the “Birth/Death Verification” option.
- Enter the registration number, Date of birth/Date of death, and captcha code, and click on the “Search” option.
- Click the search option (Birth/Death), fill in other details like District, village, Town, Registration No., death/birth date, and captcha code, and click on the “Search” option to proceed further.
- The death/ birth certificate will appear on the screen so that citizens can verify their required certificates.
Note: There is no online application and registration facility for birth/death/stillbirth through the Ejanma Karnataka portal for the citizens. They can only verify respective certificates or view details in the portal.
How to register in Ejanma?
The following process is required for Ejanma registration details:
- Visit Ejanma Karnataka’s official portal.
- Click on the “Registration details” option on the home page.
- The registration information of all the registered events will appear on the screen. Citizens can check the total number of registrations and approvals for that particular duration.
- Citizens need to click on the month or year option as per their necessity to check the complete registration details.
- On that same page, if candidates wish to check the certificate information, they need to click on the link “click here to see certificate details.”
- Finally, certificate details are displayed on the screen.

Ejanma login can be accessed by operators or concerned authorities but not by the public directly. The following process is required for Ejanma login:

- Click on the login option on the home page.
- Enter the user name, password, and captcha code.
