LRS Telangana: The government of Telangana wants to promote the planned development of urban areas in the state. They encourage development by developing integrated townships and approved layouts by public and private initiation.
Telangana government observed many unapproved and illegal layouts violating the Statutory Development Plan or Master Plan and Layout Rules.
The plot owners have to come forward and regularize their layouts. The government also didn’t obstruct the plot owners who didn’t come forward for regularization.
So, the government of Telangana issued some Rules for the Regularization of Unapproved and illegal layouts to bring all the unplanned areas into planned development to provide basic amenities.
Telangana government also wants to promote the integrated and overall area for city-level development and better citizens’ quality of life.
The Telangana government decided to extend the last date of applying for LRS up to October 31st, 2020. This decision is due to recent heavy rains, people faced disruptions of internet and even power supply. The government also received many requests to extend for filing applications date.
The government received so far nearly 19.33 Lakh applications and there was a tremendous response that only on Thursday 2.58 lakh applications received.
As per the revised rules specified, if 10% open space is not available in the unapproved layout, the open space charges at 14% of the plot value existing as on the date of registration of the plot will be collected, instead of the present rate as on August 26, 2020.
According to the amended GO, the LRS regularisation charges with the NALA fee (for the conversion of agricultural to non-agricultural land use) and no separate fee paid by LRS applicants.

- Visit the official website to Apply LRS for the individual plots.
- Click on the “Apply for LRS 2024” on the menu.
- A new page opens. Select the options Indian or NRI, enter the mobile number and click on the generate OTP.
- Enter the OTP generated and click on Validate OTP.
- Now the Application form appears, select the individual plot.
- Fill out the application form with the required details, upload the required documents, and make the payment through the Payment gateway.
- Now the application is made, take a printout of the application form for future reference.

- Visit the official website to Apply for LRS for Layouts.
- Click on the “Apply for LRS 2024” on the menu.

All the above charges must be made within three months of the intimation and January 31st, 2021. The payment can be either in instalments or in one go but within this period. Failure of pay within the time is considered an unauthorized plot.
