About Kalia Yojana
The Kalia Yojana (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) is an initiative of the Government of Odisha to assist farmers in their growth and development. It aims to reduce poverty in the State.
The state government provides various forms of financial assistance through Kalia. It will improve the living standards of the State’s farmers and landless agricultural labourers.
- First, the program helps small and marginal farmers purchase inputs such as seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides and gives them Rs. 25,000 per family for five seasons for assistance.
- Goat Breeding Units, Mini Layer Units, Dookery Units, Fishery Kits for Fishermen, Mushroom Breeding and Beekeeping Etc, The government will provide Rs.12500/-.
- In addition, vulnerable cultivators/landless agricultural labourers receive Rs.10000/- per family per year to help them make a living.

- The Government of Odisha also offers life insurance coverage of Rs. 2 lakhs to Savings Bank customers for a nominal amount of Rs. 330 (Government pays Rs.165).
- Savings Bank customers above 18 years of age and below 50 years can avail of Rs. 2 lahks personal accident coverage at a nominal rate of Rs.12/- (Rs. 6 will pay by the Government of Odisha) will be provided.
- In addition, farmers can avail of crop loans of Rs.50000/- without any interest.
Kalia Yojana Financial Assistance List
Five types of financial assistance have been provided to small and marginal farmers and landless agricultural labourers in Odisha. There are five benefits:
- During the Rabi and Kharif seasons, Rs. They will provide ten thousand per family to 30 lakh small and marginal farmer families.
- For livelihood activities – Rs.12500 to 10 lakh landless farmhouses.
- Coverage under Life Insurance Policy 2 lakh life insurance.
- 10 lakh per annum to landless and insecure farming families. Ten thousand will provide as financial assistance.
- Interest-Free Crop Loans – you can avail of all crop loans up to Rs.50000 at zero interest or interest-free rates.
Kalia Yojana Features
- The project, which will undertake at the cost of Rs.10,000 crore, will reach 92 per cent of the farmers in the State.
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) had used to provide farmers with financial assistance.
- It is a better option than loan waiver schemes.
- The scheme will come into effect in the coming Rabi season (from February or March).
Top Five Benefits of Odisha Kalia Yojana
- The Kalia Yojana scheme: It delivers financial assistance of Rs.25,000/- to farming families to purchase seeds, pesticides, labourers etc., during the five seasons.
- Farmers: Under this scheme, the Government of Odisha provides Rs.12,500/- to farmers for setting up goat rearing units, mini layered units, duckery units, fishery kits for fishers, mushroom rearing, bee keeping etc.
- Agriculture Assistance for Livelihood: Under this benefit, farmers who care for their affairs entitled to Rs.10,000/- will be received.
- Cultivators & Landless Agricultural Workers: Excellent life insurance coverage under this scheme. Please see the table below.
- Gram Panchayats: provide free crop loans of up to Rs. 50,000 to labourers and farming families.

- After you visit the website, you will land on the home page.
- Now click on the Online Grievance Application Form.
- Wait for the page to load.
- Now on the given page, click on the track your application option.
- Enter the token number you provided.
- Press Enter, and the status of your application will be shown on the screen.
How to check the Kalia Yojana List/Beneficiary List?
The contestant has the following steps to check the list of beneficiaries of the Kalia scheme: If the contestant has already registered on the Kalia portal. They are entitled to check the list of beneficiaries.
- First, you must access the official website.
- Click on the “Beneficiary List” option from the homepage in the menu bar.
- A new page will appear on your screen.
- Then now, select your district.
- Select your block/ULB and then the GP.
- Click “View” to get the PDF link.
- Enter the captcha code after clicking on the PDF link.
- After you click “Submit”, the PDF appears on the computer screen.
- To verify your name on the list, you must verify your Kalia ID, village name, father/husband’s name, and gender.
Procedures for Kalia Yojana Refund Applications
- The first step is to visit the Kalia Yojana official website.
- Next, you need to click on the Forms tab on the homepage.
- And you should click on the Refund Application link.
- PDF file appears on the screen with the application form.
- Click on the “Download” option and take a printout of it.
- Please complete the application form and submit it to the PACS/GP office.

- On the homepage, you must click Upload documents for self-registered farmers (Pm Kisan).
- Now you have to enter your Aadhaar number and click on show.
- Now you can upload the documents and then click on Submit.
Odisha Scheme Latest Installment Transfer
On April 1, 2023, CM Naveen Patnaik released Rs. 877 crores to the bank accounts of more than 43 lakh farmers under the Kalia scheme. The next instalment was transferred under Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme on the occasion of Utkal Dibasa. Over 43 lakh small and marginal farmers and landless farm workers received Rs 2000 each in their bank accounts.
