According to history, King Nala has Shani Dosham. After worshipping at the Saniswaran temple, he lost his afflictions and misfortunes. Since then, people have called the temple tank Nalan Theertham.

They also believe that bathing in the Nalan Theertham washes our afflictions. The people believe that worshipping or visiting the Saniswaran temple reduces our Shani Dosha and gives us good fortune.

People also believe that bathing in the Nalan Theertham removes all their afflictions. So, whoever visits the Temple takes a dip in the Nalan Theertham.

Many devotees light holy lamps with gingelly oil for Lord Shani at the Temple. People also visit the Kali Theertha Vinayakar after worshipping at the Saniswaran temple.

Devotees have to take the ticket online only. They can also order pooja online through the official web portal of Thirunallar Temple. The process of booking an online pooja at the Saniswaran temple is as follows.

  • Go to the official web portal of the Saniswaran temple.
  • On the homepage, you can find the “Sanipeyarchi-2020” option in the menu.
  • Click on the link to open the booking portal.
  • You will see three options on the new page.
  • Select the option relevant to you and click on the booking option.
  • Then log in with your account to proceed with booking.
  • You may not have an account with the Temple web portal. You may create a new one.
  • Click on the Signup option to create a new account.
  • Enter your email address, details, and contact number to create an account.
  • After creating the account, proceed with the booking.
