National Youth Parliament Scheme
With this launch, the National Youth Parliament Scheme portal is now functional at webs Candidates can now apply online and register at the official website for National Youth Parliament Scheme online.
The NYPS web portal provides various e-learning resources, including tutorials, literature, training videos for e-learning and participant self-study of others.
Moreover, this portal enables the student community to know about the practices and processes of the Parliament. All recognised educational institutions in the country are eligible to perform in the “Portal Based Youth Parliament Programme”.
As per the NYPS schedule, starting date to apply for National Youth Parliament Scheme is 1st August 2022, and the last date is 31st March 2023.
NYPS scheme in brief
To effectively implement the National Youth Parliament programme, the organisation may invite an MLA/Ex-MLA/MP/Ex-MP/MLC/Ex-MLC or any other eminent person as Chief Guest, who will supervise the organisation. Youth Parliament Meeting.
Students of classes 9 to 12 participate in Kishore Sabha, while undergraduate and postgraduate students participate in Tarun Sabha.
All organisations interested in participating in this initiative must first register on the web portal. After successful registration, the organisation can organise the Youth Parliament program in their institute.
At the end of the Youth Parliament session, the students and the In-charge/Head of the Institution will receive Certificates of Participation and Appreciation, respectively.
Organisations must upload reports, images and videos from their Youth Parliament meetings to the Ministry’s web portal for review and verification.
The purpose of the National Youth Parliament Scheme
The main purpose of the National Youth Parliament Yojana is to strengthen the roots of democracy among the youth population of India. The application of this system results in students forming healthy discipline habits.
Apart from that, students learn to tolerate others’ opinions. The program provides students with information on parliamentary practices and procedures.
With the development of the National Youth Parliament, patriotic feelings will develop among the students, and the youth will be more aware of the country.
National Youth Parliament Portal – Features
Here are the important features and highlights of the NYPS Scheme Portal:-
- All recognised educational institutions in India are eligible to participate in the National Youth Scheme.
- This NYPS web portal (nyps.mpa.gov.in) is the sole medium for educational institutions to apply for participation and enrollment.
- NYPS portal provides photographs, videos, scripts and e-training modules for self-study through online mode.
- After successful registration, each eligible educational institution can participate in Youth Parliament sessions in their respective institutions.
- All students participating in NYPS will receive a “Certificate of Participation”. Accordingly, a “Certificate of Appreciation” will be given to each Institution Head and Teacher-in-charge through a web portal.
- The NYPS portal will help realise Prime Minister Modi’s nationwide vision of organising youth parliament meetings.
