YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. This Scheme provides financial assistance to the newlywed brides of the AP state.
The newlywed brides will get a monetary benefit from the government when they register their marriage in the district court of Andhra Pradesh.
This Scheme’s main objective is to provide security and support to low-income families for the girls’ wedding ceremony and protect girls from child marriage.
The newlywed couples must register their marriage through the official act of extraordinary marriage present in Andhra Pradesh.

- The applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh.
- Applicants must be above 18 years old.
- The annual income of the family must be less than Rs 200000
- Only newlywed applicants are eligible.
- The newlywed’s marriage must be held in AP.
- Divorcees and widows are not eligible for this Scheme.

- Download the application form on the website.
- Fill out the application form with all the details.
- Upload all the necessary documents as mentioned and click on the submit option.
- Rural area citizens must register at least five days before marriage. Registrations are performed at registration-cum-help desks at Mandal Mahila Samakhyas or the Velugu office.
- Urban area citizens must also register at least five days before marriage. Registrations are performed at registration-cum-help desks at MEPMA municipality.

FAQs:
The bride must be 18, and the groom must be 21 as of the marriage date.
A maximum amount of Rs. 1,25,000 for the wedding.
