West Bengal state minority development and Finance Corporation has launched a scholarship scheme called the Aikyashree scholarship, especially for West Bengal state students who belong to the minority community.
The Aikyashree scholarship scheme financially supports deserving college and school education students. Through the Aikyashree scholarship scheme, the state government gives socioeconomic benefits and different educational chances to minority community students.
The Aikyashree scholarship scheme is an end-to-end scholarship for the students of West Bengal state. From the Aikyashree scholarship, students can get financial support from class 1 to the PhD level.
It applies only to students belonging to minority communities applying for the Aikyashree scholarship scheme.
The minority communities include Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains.
Beneficiaries of the Aikyashree Scholarship

The state government of West Bengal offers 5different types of scholarships under the Aikyashree scholarship scheme for minority community students belonging to West Bengal state to continue their education. The list of Aikyashree scholarships is as follows:-

Objectives
The main objective behind the Aikyashree scholarship is to provide financial support to students belonging to minority communities so they can continue their education happily without thinking about their financial state.
It is noted that this scholarship is only provided to those students whose financial status is not stable.
The Aikyashree scholarship scheme is provided from class 1 to PhD level. With the Aikyashree scholarship scheme’s help, socioeconomic benefits and educational opportunities will be provided to the beneficiary students to get an education.
Details Of Aikyashree Scholarship
The following are the details of the Aikyashree Scholarship:
West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship:
This scholarship scheme gives financial help from Rs 150 to Rs 750 monthly and an ad hoc reward of 1000 rupees per year.
Students studying 9th and 10th classes can benefit from the West Bengal pre-Matric Scholarship scheme.
West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship:
This scholarship scheme gives financial incentives to the beneficiary students from Rs 160 to Rs 1200 per month.
Students studying in 11th and 12th classes can get the benefits of this scholarship scheme. Only the students who belong to SC, ST, and OBC categories can benefit from this scheme.
It is noted to provide students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary level with this scheme’s benefits.
Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
Through this scholarship scheme, Rs 8000 per month will be given to the students who depend on their education level.
Students studying classes 11 to PhD level can apply for this scholarship scheme. This scholarship will be distributed to students according to their academic and financial needs.
Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship:
Through this scholarship scheme, Rs 3000 per month in financial incentives are given to the beneficiary students, along with a yearly book grant of Rs 2000.
This scholarship applies only to female students, especially those in class 12th.
Female students pursuing undergraduate courses in basic science, engineering, medicine, etc., can also benefit from this scheme.
Hindi Scholarship Scheme:
The students studying in non-Hindi-speaking states like West Bengal will be given a Hindi Scholarship Scheme. This scheme can benefit only students studying in higher secondary, undergraduate, postgraduate, or research-level courses. Through this scheme, financial incentives from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month are given to students.

For new scholarships: The Aikyashree scholarship provider mainly considers the students based on merit and allocated budget.
For renewal scholarship: The students who have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination are considered for the scholarship.

Amount of Aikyashree Scholarship
for hostellers:
Merit-cum was applicable for Medical Engineering, Management, Law, Chartered Accountant, etc., courses students. Two thousand rupees were given as admission fees & tuition fees were waived-eleven thousand rupees for maintenance allowance. Thirty-three thousand rupees are presented as total benefits.
Post-Matric: it was applicable for 11th and 12th classes. There were seven thousand seven hundred rupees for admission fees & tuition fees, Four thousand two hundred rupees for maintenance allowance, and Eleven thousand nine hundred rupees as a total benefit.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate: 3300 rupees for admission fee & tuition fee. Six thousand three hundred rupees for maintenance allowance.Nine thousand six hundred rupees as a total benefit.
M.Phil.: 3300 rupees for admission fee & tuition fee. Thirteen thousand two hundred rupees for maintenance allowance.Sixteen thousand five hundred rupees as a total benefit.
Pre Matric: it applied to 6th to 10 class students. Four thousand four hundred rupees for admission fee & tuition fee. Six thousand six hundred rupees for maintenance allowance.1100rupees as a total benefit.
For day scholars:
Pre-Matric: For the students from 1st to 5th class, Rs 1100 is given as maintenance. For 6th to 10th class students, 4400 rupees are given admission fees & tuition fees-1100 for maintenance allowance.
Post-Matric: 7700 rupees given as admission fee & tuition fee. 2500 for maintenance allowance.
For Undergraduate and Postgraduate: 3300 rupees given as admission fee & tuition fee. 3300 for maintenance allowance
M.Phil: 3300 rupees given as admission fee & tuition fee. 6000 for maintenance allowance.

FAQs
This scholarship financially supports SC, ST and OBC students at post-matric or post-secondary levels. The chosen students can avail of the scholarship amount ranging from Rs. 160 to Rs. 1200 monthly.
The annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. Institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to Page 2 by the West Bengal underrepresented groups Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for application.
You can’t opt for two central or state government scholarships simultaneously. You can only be a beneficiary of one scholarship.
